Medway conference

Friday 30 June 2017, 6pm at the Royal Dockyard Church

This is an international conference at The Historic Dockyard, Chatham commemorating the 350th anniversary of the Dutch attack of June 1667.

The conference will begin with an open lecture by Jeroen van der Vliet (Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam) on ‘The Anglo-Dutch Wars: naval archaeology, material culture and visual arts’. The Open Lecture will be followed by a Reception in the Royal Dockyard Church.

The conference will also take place in the Royal Dockyard Church - recently transformed into a magnificent lecture theatre through partnership between the University of Kent and Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust.
