This writing fact and fiction event welcomes J D Davies - a naval historian to Gillingham library. The author - whose upcoming book is set against the backdrop of the Dutch attack - will give a talk and reveal the reasons why the two countries went to war with each other not just once, but three times!
He will also talk about his acclaimed series of naval fiction set during the wars, the Journals of Matthew Quinton ('a series of real panache’ - The Times).
