This service of Choral Evensong will celebrate the theme 'From fire to friendship' and gives thanks for the end of hostilities between European nations during the Anglo-Dutch wars. The peace was ratified by the Treaty of Breda in 1667.
We give thanks for the strong links of friendship that exist today between Britain and Holland (Netherlands) and also mark the inauguration of a new mayor of Medway by installing them in their ancient cathedral stall.
